Why Entertaiment is Important

The things that entertain us are important, because without them life can become dull and meaningless. It’s hard to get ahead in a career, raise a family, and do the important things in life if you’re always working and never playing. Entertaiment gives us the chance to relive memories, or create new ones. A famous example is Scheherazade, a story in the Persian professional storytelling tradition that inspired composers Rimsky-Korsakov and Ravel to make orchestral works, director Pasolini to make a film adaptation, and many innovative video games.
